Resources used before purchasing travel worldwide 2023

According to an April 2023 survey, online travel agencies (OTAs) were the main resources used by global travelers before purchasing a trip, followed by search engines and social media. While 80 percent of respondents checked OTAs before completing a trip booking, 58 percent reported using social media.

The analysis included data for the previous 12 months and looked at travel behavior in the 45 days leading up to a trip booking.
